love walking on the beach with my husband Martin and our elderly Jack Russel, Gilbert. We visit all year round and there is beauty in every visit rain or shine, fog or even snow. I take lots (and LOTS) of pictures and they, along with my memories provide my inspiration for my work.
I love watching the endless movements of the sea as it ebbs and flows onto and off the shore. The colours and the sounds are just magical.

Full description
Handmade, unique and ethically produced fabric picture inspired by the beautiful waters which surround our coast. Shimmering sands, bubbling waves, glittering seawater all come together in my impression of our blue sea to make the 'Blueness of Blue'.
This is an glazed picture in a wide, antique style off white wooden frame and uses a mixture of textiles and different sewing techniques. I hand sew and use a machine and a variety of different threads to create my images which are inspired by Cornwall where I live.
I recycle frames and fabrics and endeavour to work in a sustainable manner to prevent materials going to landfill.
