I love walking along the coast with my husband and our elderly JRT, Gilbert. We enjoy the beach at all times of the year and I always take heaps of photos and these along with my memories inspire my work.

Full description
Handmade, unique and ethically produced fabric picture showing a bright representation of an imaginary Cornish beach with turquoise, sparkling sea, a bright blue sky, golden sand with sparkling stars on the shore and a headland and lighthouse guarding the bay.
This is an unglazed picture in a wide, burnished silver effect frame using a mixture of textiles and different sewing techniques. I hand sew and use a machine and a variety of different threads and trims to create my images which are inspired by Cornwall where I live.
I recycle frames and fabrics and endeavour to work in a sustainable manner to prevent materials going to landfill.
