love walking on the beach with my husband Martin and our elderly Jack Russel Gilbert. We visit all year round and there is beauty in every visit rain or shine, fog or even snow. I take lots (and LOTS) of pictures and they, along with my memories provide my inspiration for my work.
I can just imagine dipping my toes in the warm water and then relaxing in the sunshine, especially when the weather is inclement outside.

Full description
Handmade, unique and ethically produced fabric picture showing a bright representation of an imaginary Cornish beach towards the end of a hot day. The sky is blue with a hint of cloud and the start of an orange sunset peaking through the clouds; the sea is dark and blue with white frothy waves dancing onto the sands and the sand itself is warm and sparkling.
This is an unglazed picture in a burnished bronzed / gold effect frame using a mixture of textiles and different sewing techniques. I hand sew and use a machine and a variety of different threads to create my images which are inspired by Cornwall where I live.
I recycle frames and fabrics and endeavour to work in a sustainable manner to prevent materials going to landfill.
