This is the second bag I have made from red tartan I found in a charity shop. Such a find ! It's a nice roomy bag, great for every day use, I have decorated the pocket with machine-stitched patchwork which I thought was a nice contrast to the tartan. If you have a look inside you will find evidence of the gent's dress shirt ( My Son's!) I have used for the lining.

Full description
I made this shopping bag with a piece of fabric I spotted in a charity shop. So happy to find some tartan! This is a nice roomy bag, great for groceries, books, gym stuff etc. The fabric has been strengthened with interfacing and it is fully lined with repurposed cotton from a gent's dress shirt. There is a pocket on the front with a patchwork design and there is a small internal pocket.
The bag measures 13 x 14 cms and has a 8cms square bottom which is great for carrying larger items. The strap measures 56cms (22")
