Stumpwork Purple and Pink Flower Hand Embroidery 3D Hoop, Hand Embroidery Flowers, Floral Gift
No idea what these flowers are, but each petal and leaf is stitched separately on to a wire slip, which is very carefully cut out, and stitched in to the linen backing fabric. I always hold my breath when I do the cutting out!
Stumpwork embroidery utilises wire slips to create the 3D effect.
The hoop is finished with felt at the back to protect the hoop.
The wood effect flexi hoop is six inches, and has an integral hanger so that it arrives ready to hang.
This will arrive wrapped in tissue paper ready to be given as a gift, and will be accompanied by a free Athena Makes care card.
Would make the perfect gift for a gardener.
