HANDSPUN KNITTED SCALLOP DESIGN SHAWL OR WRAP
I handspun a wonderful blend of llama, white-faced woodland wool, ramie and bamboo, which had been hand painted by yummyfiberarts, in soft shades of pink, blue, and green. I then knitted this shawl using a modular scallop technique, to my own design, including eyelets for an added lighter feel. I also added tassels, adding length and weight, which helps the ends stay in place.
This shawl is very versatile and can be worn many ways. Please see all the photos. I think this would look stunning with a dress on a special occasion, or it would also look great with jeans and a jumper or jacket. It would also be a lovely shoulder warmer either for watching TV or for reading in bed.
It measures 48" (122cm) wide from point to point excluding the tassels (wingspan) and 13" (33cm) in depth at the widest part.
Please bear in mind that different screens show colours differently.
Please feel free to ask me any questions. This shawl is totally unique and cannot be repeated exactly but I can make similar ones in different colours. I welcome custom orders.
