Full description
I made this unique Dorset button Christmas tree decoration by working silver metallic thread and white and blue cotton thread around seven brass rings. I have added a hanging loop in the metallic thread.
The creation of Dorset buttons was originally a large cottage industry in Dorset, England between 1622 and 1850, after which they were overtaken by machine-made buttons. They are enjoying a revival and I love making them in more contemporary ways and using modern materials.
Size - 8cm (3.15") maximum diameter
I am happy to take custom orders for these in different colours.
