Full description

These long earrings have diamonds of fordite suspended at the bottom of a silver 'stick', the top of the earring has a diamond shape of silver which hides the post and scroll. The earrings measure 70mm top to bottom by 19mm across (fordite is 14mm along each side). The fordite is not a matched pair however they both have rings of bright colours (red, green and blue) on a base of dark grey and black. Fordite is lightweight so they would be comfy to wear all day and come in a gift box.

Not come across fordite before? It's layers of over spray paint that builds up in spray booths at car factories, the build up gets baked in the curing ovens in between each layer of paint giving a hard material that can be cut to show the many different colours in it. This particular material came from Jeep's factory in Toledo in 2021 (the bright green (gecko green) was a limited edition colour only produced that year), the fordite formed on the blanks inserted in the rear window voids of the removable hard tops. I have quite a stash of fordite from different factories and years so if you love the idea of fordite but want something else then drop me a message as I can probably help.

Measure 70mm top to bottom by 19mm across (fordite is 14mm along each side).
