I loved making this bag and putting the pieces of fabric together to create a patchwork. I added the embroidery to both contrast and highlight the lines in the tartan and tweed.

Full description
This handbag is made from Harris tweed in tartan and checked patterns in a patchwork design. The back is made from wool tweed. I have decorated the back and the front with slowstitching to contrast the lines in the fabric.The interior is lined with repurposed checked cotton and has a large pocket. The strap is made from cotton webbing and it has a zip closure. It is big enough for a small tablet, kindle, phone etc. It has been strengthened with interface to keep its shape but it is still soft.
