Pretty blue and white wall hanging suitable for inside or outdoors.
One of my absolute favourite things to do with clay is to press various objects into it to create beautiful patterns, then flood in well-diluted oxide solutions (in this case cobalt) to highlight the texture.
Each design is unique… on this one I have used lace, a vinyl placemat, bought and handmade stamps, a piece of plastic grid (I have no idea what that was originally for!) some curly wire, a pen top and a piece of hot water bottle!
This high-fired stoneware plaque will happily stay outside all year round unaffected by frosts.
