Full description
Cute litttle mermaid cat greeting card for a child (or the young at heart). Blank inside for you to write your own message the card can also be used for other occasions such as starting school or to send a special note.
This is part of my zero-waste range, where I use small offcuts of fabric to create beautiful little gifts.
I fussy cut the image of the mermaid cat (mer-cat) from fabric left over from my playmats and quilts, and backed it with an offcut of thin wadding. I used a machine quilting technique to add relief to the outline of the figures and some of the sea background, giving it a slightly 3-D effect.
The fabric is mounted in a tri-fold aperture card in quality white cardstock, and comes with a matching envelope.
