Full description
Flower basket - the centre piece of this beautiful fabric bundle is a vintage piece with an embroidered basket of flowers. I've paired it up with vintage, pre-loved and factory waste textiles, haberdashery and trims in co-ordinating colours.
Strong red, gold, and orange tones, balanced with plum-pink, green, brown and cream - this would be glorious as an autumn themed textile art picture or cozy cushion. Or use the pieces in a slow stitched project.
One of my larger textile kits, there are over 40 pieces, including:
- Vintage embroidered remnant - flower basket
- Curtain and upholstery reclaimed samples
- Wool fabric from a vintage Welsh blanket
- Vintage Laura Ashley cotton fabric
- Quilting cotton offcuts and dressmaking remnants
- Remnants of vintage lace
- Deadstock ric-rac, upholstery braid and fancy trims
- Vintage and salvaged ribbons

- Hand dyed linen thread and wool yarn

The box also has my introduction to slow stitching and stitch guide, a piece of calico to use as a foundation fabric, and a sewing needle and pins, secured in a scrap of antique Welsh quilt.
VINTAGE AND PRELOVED TEXTILES - I use items that are sadly too fragile or damaged to use for their original purpose, but they are still beautiful. The pieces in your bundle are carefully salvaged, but due to their age may have small marks or tears.
