All of the jewellery pieces in this Folksy shop are handmade by myself in a lovely, shed studio in my back garden.
The handmade jewellery I make is inspired by nature, the coastline of my home Island of Mersea, meaningful words and the joy of simplicity.
Handmade in recycled sterling silver, recycled gold, sterling silver, copper, 14ct gold filled, and occasionally brass. Semi-precious stones, precious stones and beads are also featured in my work.

Inspired by the pebble beaches of Mersea Island, where I live. The hand stamped and hammered wave pattern on these earrings I call my "by the sea" texture, I have used this texture on earrings, bracelets, necklaces and rings.

Full description
Semi-circles with semi-circles have been cut from sheet recycled sterling silver and given a texture I refer to as "by the sea" using letter and punctuation mark stamps for the pebble beach and the curved edge of a hammer to form the sea. Half a ring shape has been soldered on top, and on the back of those sterling silver pin posts to go through the ear.
The details have been oxidised to highlight them.
Recycled sterling silver butterfly scroll backs finish the earrings.
The earrings measure: 4.5cm across and 3.4cm in height.
The earrings are already made and have been hallmarked by Birmingham Assay office for their weight in solid sterling silver.
In terms of purity, quality, properties, there are no differences between recycled silver and virgin mined silver. The only difference is that recycled silver has less of an impact on the environment.
Already made and ready to go. Can take between 1 - 3 days before dispatch.
