Hi and welcome to Born Again Bears. This name began as the first bears I made were as keepsakes and memories, made by bringing precious items back to new beginnings as special bears to cherish.
I enjoy making all different types and sizes of bears and indeed mice and have enjoyed becoming part of the Folksy family as an outlet for this.
International postage is a new area for me and I will happily combine postage. Please contact me for a price for this and I will do what I can to keep the cost as low as possible.
The inspiration for this bear came from the beautiful cotton velvet colours.

Full description
Ocean is a 15" bear made from a beautiful piece of tie dyed cotton velvet that has been waiting in my stash of fabric for the right project. The colours are lovely shades of dusky purples mixed with vibrant turquoise and this made me think of the sea. Her paw pads and ears are a coordinating faux suede which is really soft to the touch. She has English glass eyes stitched in to sculpt her face and embroidered features....a bit of a hippy with a nose piercing, stars and a crocheted flower in her hair.
To continue the seaside vibe I knitted her a jacket in a traditional razor shell lace pattern using fine yarn and she has a mother of pearl necklace.
Ocean has been nut and bolt jointed and is fully posable which seems to suit her personality.
Please note this is a collectable bear and not suitable as a children's toy.
