Hi and welcome to Born Again Bears. This name began as the first bears I made were as keepsakes and memories, made by bringing precious items back to new beginnings as special bears to cherish.
I enjoy making all different types and sizes of bears and indeed mice and have enjoyed becoming part of the Folksy family as an outlet for this.
International postage is a new area for me and I will happily combine postage. Please contact me for a price for this and I will do what I can to keep the cost as low as possible.

Hi, my name is Moira thank you for taking the time to visit my shop.
I live in the North of England and have always loved sewing and crafting in general. I studied Textile design at Trent Poly (Nottingham University now, that's showing my age) and have a degree in woven fabric design. I unfortunately had to give up my career as support to students with educational needs when I developed an auto immune system condition. A mixed blessing as I now have more time to create and develop patterns for my bears.
Making bears started several years ago when a friend of my daughter's asked if she could make her a bear as a keepsake. Since then many keepsake/memory bears have been made and this is where the name 'Born Again Bears' came from. Over the years I have gathered a considerable stash of fabrics, ribbons, braids and shiny things which I incorporate into my one off collectable bears so the name is still very appropriate and I still love making memory bears alongside the others. I enjoy giving things an alternative second life. The idea of creating more patterns in a variety of sizes and styles has lured me into opening this shop page. I hope you enjoy browsing through my creations and maybe even be tempted to own one.
During lockdown I became obsessed with creating a papier mache tree house which now is inhabited by tiny mice. Keep looking they will probably feature here at some point.

They are for a wedding gift and are perfect, I’m very happy with the birds, lovely fabrics and the crochet details for wings are brilliant. Everything is so well made and everyone who I have gifted them to are delighted with their present. Thank you again.

Flora is an absolutely gorgeous bear and she's made from a vintage embroiled tablecloth! Born Again Bears are brilliant at recycling fabric and Flora is proof of that-her embroidery is perfectly placed and she looks lovely in her ladylike cardigan. My third bear from Born Again and almost certainly not my last.

Rhubarb was a birthday present, she was a great success and delightful. She is beautifully made with gorgeous materials, fantastic colour. Very happy with her. Prompt delivery, well packaged. Can’t recommend Born Again Bears enough. Thank you very much.
