Welcome to Janiemade and my little corner of Folksy where you can buy my crocheted creations. If you're looking for skilfully handmade gifts and home decor I hope you'll find something you love. I enjoy crocheting with natural fibres, mainly cotton, and many of my home decor items use recycled braided cotton cord or recycled cotton T shirt yarn. All items are ready to post and I only charge postage on your first item. Your order will be sent by the Royal Mail Tracked 48 service.

I love making items with T shirt yarn, it's soft and pliable to work with and I enjoy crocheting with no pattern, adapting the shape as I go, rather like pottery but not so messy!

Full description
A round crocheted bowl, in a choice of two sizes, made from a high quality recycled T shirt yarn in a mix of green and cream with flecks of blue and yellow.
The bowl is sturdy yet flexible and keeps its shape well. The top edge is strengthened with a decorative crab stitch that also provides additional shaping and texture..
T shirt yarns are made from offcuts and remnants from the fashion industry, saving them from landfill. This thick textile yarn can be used to create a range of household items that will last for years and each shade is only available in limited quantities. I have been unable to source further supplies of this colourway so these bowls would make truly unique gifts.
These bowls are designed to be both useful and decorative. The colours makes me think of trees and leaves, making them ideal for displaying fruit. They would also work well as bathroom storage or as baskets to keep small knitting projects or sewing supplies to hand.
Measurements: The large bowl is approximately 19cm in diameter across the top and 8cm in height. The smaller bowl is approximately 15cm in diameter and 6cm in height.
Care instructions: I recommend a gentle surface clean with a damp cloth to remove dust but item may be carefully washed by hand at 30°C, reshape whilst damp. Do not bleach; Do not iron; Do not tumble dry.
