Lino printmaking is a completely hand made process, giving the final artwork a character and authenticity completely unlike a digital reproduction. From hand carving the relief printing block, to the hand burnishing of the final print, it’s quite a special moment to pull back the paper of that first print. All artwork is produced in it’s original medium, signed by the artist and will show variations and signs of the nature of this process.
I had an image in my mind of a fox curled up under a high summer sun. Surrounded by wildflowers and a summer in full swing, bursting with life, contrasted with the peace and restfulness of the fox. Evoking the physical feeling of the sun warming through to your bones, relaxing your body and making you slow down to enjoy the moment.

Nestled in a peaceful corner of garden, find the summer fox. Curled up with the sun on his back, lost completely in the moment while summer riots away around him. As in the rest of the ‘seasonal fox’ series, folk art influences and natural themes are featured giving the fox a distinctive character and embodying the energy of the season being explored.
Skilfully hand printed in a bold classic black onto smooth printmaking paper, the Summer Fox is equally beautiful as a stand-alone piece or paired with his friend the Spring Fox. Your artwork will be presented with care in a compostable cello-bag and acid free board, and shipped flat in a protective envelope.
