Full description
This original textile art picture of sheep grazing beneath a tree has been created by needle felting strips of silk and wool and silk fibres onto a felt background. The needle felting technique eliminates the need for stitching as it uses barbed needles to lock the fibres together. Silk strips form the background and then woollen fibres are added to blend the strips together and create the detail of the sheep and tree. The birds have been added using black thread.
The picture size is approximately 4.5" x 2.5" and it has been mounted using an off white card mount and framed in a simple 6"x4" black frame. The frame has both a hanging hook and a prop stand on the reverse allowing it to be displayed either on the wall or a shelf.
Note: the frame is supplied glazed but the glass has been removed for photographs to avoid unwanted reflections.
