Full description
A beautiful array of poppies. This needle felt picture has been made using strips of silk fabric and woollen fibres needle felted onto a felt base. No stitching is required as the needle felting process binds the silk and wool together. After creating the background, poppies have been added using green silk fibres and red and black wool. The birds in the sky have been stitched on using black thread.
An 8" x 6" double card mount in white and black and a simple black frame have been used to present the artwork. The reverse of the frame has both a hanging loop and a prop stand allowing it to be hung on the wall or stood on a shelf.
Please note: the picture is glazed but the glass has been removed for the photos to avoid unwanted reflections.
