Full description
A beautiful needle felted original picture created using silk strips and wool fibres. The image is of sheep grazing in a field. The background has been made using strips of silk fabric in various shades of blue and green which have been needle felted to a felt base fabric and woollen fibres added to blend the strips together. No stitching of the fabric is required as the needle felting process binds the wool and silk fibres to the felt background. Several white woolly sheep with black faces have been needle felted onto the background and two birds added using black thread.
The picture has been mounted in a double card mount (white with black inner) and then framed in a simple black frame. The reverse of the frame has both a hanging loop and a prop allowing the picture to displayed on a shelf or wall.
The frame is 8" x 6" with an image size of 6" x 4"
Please note: photographs have been taken with glass removed from the frame to avoid unwanted reflections - the frame will be supplied with glass.
