The inspiration for my work largely comes from nature and walks through woodlands. I remember as a child taking long woodland walks, looking out for many of its residents, from bees and butterflies to squirrels and blackbirds. I was always fascinated with all that nature had to offer in terms of vibrancy and variety. This love has lived on and I seize the opportunity to explore nature, especially through painting wooded landscapes.

Into the Woods by Victoria Fletcher, 2024
This is an original painting that depicts an entrance of a woodland via a wooden gate that is ajar, inviting the viewer to take a journey down into the woods. This painting captures the optimism of spring with flowers bursting into bloom along the path-side and the in the bushes, as well as the leaves starting to form within the treetops.
The painting itself is 10cm diameter, created on a circular stretched canvas, using acrylic paints and inks, before being varnished with gloss and framed in an 18 x 18 cm wooden box frame.
The artwork will be presented in a brown box on arrival, with recycled cardboard strips to cushion its transport. This allows for a secure transport and the easy wrapping if it is to be a gift.
It is advised that the painting is not kept in a room that is subject to high humidity such as a laundry room or bathroom.
