I am a practical person at heart and while I really enjoy making decorative embroidery work I wanted to produce some more functional items. This is one of the first pieces I have made and I will be working up more ideas over the coming months.
My floral embroidery pieces are inspired by our Devon garden but the colours and textures come from my imagination as I stitch.

Pretty handmade pin cushion incorporating a hand embroidered floral swatch.
The pin cushion has a cardboard core, covered by a hand embroidered piece of raw silk with a handmade dusty pink velvet cushion.
Height including cushion 4.5cm approx.
Diameter 5 cm approx.
