'The little nester'
She sits waiting for her brood to hatch, on a bed of moss, twigs and paper.
This original piece is hand and machine stiched in unbleached cotton. She is hand painted and stained for an aged vintage feel. She has little bonnet with tiny rosebuds. On each wing is a rusted pin, and there on one side hangs a little rusty set of keys and the other a bone button, taken from Victorian workshirts.
She nests in an edwardian little girls leather shoe, lined with dried moss twigs and book paper. Three little eggs nestle ready to hatch among them.
A lovely collectors piece, or a gift for someone who loves fairytales. She will be lovingly wrapped.
This piece measures: 22 x 13 cm approx
n.b. this is not a toy and is unsuitable for small children.
