I’ve always liked the sunburst style of clock, so I thought I’d make one with a motor theme from used spark plugs with a centre boss made from a worn-out chainsaw clutch, they’re very popular too, this is the tenth I’ve made, though all have been different enough to be unique.

Full description
An unusual and quirky clock with a petrolhead feel. It is made from a brand-new quartz ‘sweep’ clock movement with blue plastic fingers fitted to a body made from a chainsaw clutch drum with spark plugs to form the face. I machined and polished an adaptor boss from brass to fit the mechanism accurately to the centre of the clutch drum and welded twelve spark plugs at the hour marks. Larger spark plugs are fitted at the 3, 6, 9 and 12 o’clock positions. There is a washer welded to the 12 o’clock spark plug to hang the assembly on your wall. A really individual timepiece for your home, garage or man cave!
