The colours shown in each picture may not be exactly as they appear in the artwork due to differences in the display modes of individual monitors and screens.
As an exercise for my art group, I wanted to give myself a challenge and, after a rummage through some photographs, I was drawn to the detail in the rocks and cliffs and the active nature of the sea in this picture. It gave me the challenge of working out how to represent both of those in greyscale rather than using the range of colours available in the pastel that I usually use.
