I walk through our garden everyday and love this time of year when new flowers pop up seemingly by the hour. This is one in a series of spring flower pictures where I try and capture the beauty of these hardy, characterful plants.

Hand embroidered picture, silk thread on an ice green shot silk background.
My embroidery pieces are inspired by our Devon garden but the colours and textures come from my imagination as I stitch.
Set in a green cardboard mount.
