Full description
These are my undersized Tree of Life Coasters which I have included in my 'seconds' collection. During the drying and the firing processes they have reduced in size so are only suitable for small cups/mugs/glasses. They can also be used as an incense cone burner base.
The Tree of Life is an ancient Celtic symbol of balance, harmony and rebirth.
Size: 8 cm diameter
These handcrafted ceramic coasters or incense cone burner bases have been created using the slab-work method and embossed with the Tree of Life before being shaped using a circular cookie cutter. Once dried they have been bisque fired to 1000c, after a gentle sanding they have been hand painted with a forest green, red-brown glaze. They have had a second stoneware firing in the kiln to 1260c.
Self-adhesive cork has been applied to the base to protect surface
All my ceramic creations have been individually handcrafted by me with love and care. No two pieces are the same as each one has its own unique characteristic.
