Hello! Thank you for visiting my shop.

The folktale of Little Red Riding Hood dates back to before the 17th Century, however it bears loads of similarities to stories told by Greek and Roman writers from more than two thousand years ago.

I find the symbolism in this ancient folktale fascinating, with my favourite interpretation being that the deep red colour of Little Red's hooded cloak symbolising the sun, which is eventually consumed by the dark night (the wolf).

The forest, as in many folktales is supposed to symbolise the unknown.
