After learning the Peyote Stitch I wanted to extend my beadwork items to include these beaded Prayer feathers. They are used for smudging, whereby they fan and distribute the sacred the smoke from lit sage and other sacred herbs, to purify and cleanse yourself, your spaces and your items.

Full description
Hand beaded single crow feather for sacred smudging in your spiritual practice. The feather was collected naturally and was cleaned.
The unique spiral beaded design is in Peyote Stitch and is done on a black leather tasselled base. I have used glass seed beads in the sacred medicine wheel colours of black, white, red, yellow and added some orange for fire.
The leather tassels are finished with a few larger beads, including synthetic pony beads.
From feather tip to tassel ends the whole item measures 35cm in length. NB POSTAGE: Because of the length I need to bend the tassles round to be able to send this cheaply (2nd class Large Letter is £1.15). They won't be damaged, but please do let me know if you would prefer me NOT to do this and would prefer to pay another £1.84 in postage costs (a 2nd class Small Parcel is £2.99).
The item will be wrapped in tissue paper and packaged in cardboard to protect the feather.
All of my prayer feathers are created as unique pieces and are worked with positive intention to honour their use as sacred items. They are cleansed in Native American white sage prior to sending.
This is a lovely unique item to add to your spiritual items or to give as a gift.
Please note that the white sage is not included.
