I love making ceramic animals and hares are a favourite, I particularly enjoy getting the ears just right. This hare was made using coiling and pinching techniques using raku clay so has a lovely texture. Living in Wiltshire I’ve been fortunate to see hares when it walking my dog.

Full description
Characterful ceramic hare bust, made from raku clay and then hand painted after firing with glazed before being fired again. I build up the colours by layering the colours in washes to get the depth of colour and to give it texture. Made from coiling and pinching the clay. 21 cm tall x 11 cm width at the widest part of the ears.
