Hello and welcome! It's December and the festive season will be with us very soon. I have an array of beautifully handcrafted Beaded Beasties frames that would make unique gifts or decor pieces. I hope you will enjoy looking at them.

This page is home to Beaded Beasties: mixed media box frames of dragonflies and other creatures in a mini environment. Each one unique, made from new and recycled materials. I hope you love what you see.

Do please also take a look at my other page: DArTworld - Digital Imaginings for greetings and occasion cards and prints.

The paisley pattern giftwrap paper was the starting point.

Full description

Although we may think of the paisley pattern being named after a town in Scotland, it has a rich and exotic history which is what I have endeavoured to capture in this one-of-a-kind artwork.

The burgundy, teal and gold of the swirling design provided the inspiration which I then built on with jewelled accents in bright colours. I think it really does evoke paisley's origins in Persia and Kashmir. Many upcycled pieces of jewellery have been used along with the teal mesh ribbon. The paisley design is studded with a variety of golden beads.

The box frame is 25 cm square and has a wood effect finish. It can be hung on the wall or displayed on a shelf.

UK postage is included in the price.
