I've had a collection of old lace for quite a while and I also bought some from a local lady. I started experimenting with adding beads and bits of old jewellery. i like the simplicity of this one with just the little strands to decorate it.

Delicate Bracelet made from vintage lace and embellished with vintage and modern beads.
The lace is a ream colour with a pattern of flowers, beads are stitched along both edges and then wound in strands around the lace. To make the fastener, and finish the bracelet, brick stitch bead weaving is added to each end, finishing with a small loop of beads. The bracelet is wound around and the loops fasten round two old mother of pearl shoe buttons.
Three short strands of beads are stitched to one end of the lace, just before the beadwork begins, two are finished with tiny gold coloured charm beads, a heart and a flower, the other has a grey pearl at it's end.
The bracelet can be adjusted by winding the lace in and out of itself before fastening, or left just to be fastened, it can be slightly shortened by fastening the opposite loop to the opposite button so the ends cross each other at the middle.
A perfect piece to wear for a wedding or just with your favourite outfit.
