Full description
These fordite earrings have oblongs of fordite smoothly bezel set in sterling silver and finished with simple hooks. The angular nature of the shape contrasts with the wavy stripes of colour - there is lots of grey and white with pops of sparkly teal, royal blue and orange. These fordite earrings are smaller than I normally make measuring 38mm from the top of the hook to the bottom of the fordite and 15mm across. Comes in a gift box.
Not come across fordite before? Its layers of over spray paint that builds up in spray booths at car factories, the build up gets baked in the curing ovens in between each layer of paint giving a hard material that can be cut to show the many different colours in it. This particular material came from Jeep's factory in Toledo in 2020 (the sparkly teal and orange were limited edition colours only produced at the beginning of that year). I cut and polish the material myself and have quite a stash of fordite from different factories so if you love the idea of fordite but want something else then drop me a message as I can probably help.
