In Hindu mythology, moonstone was believed to be solidified moonbeams.
In ancient Rome, the stone was linked to the Moon Goddess Diana and was thought to bring love, wealth and success.
Moonstone is one of India's traditional wedding gifts, and is thought to bring luck in love.
Shell Pearls are man-made, but are made from nacre - the same material as genuine pearls.
They are considered the best quality replica, and are more durable than real pearl, less likely to discolour or fade, keep their shine, and are more resistant to damage.
Moonstone and Pearl are considered birthstones for June and Gemini.

Full description
These drop earrings each feature a 6mm lavender Shell Pearl, 4mm Mother-of-Pearl and a trio of 4mm faceted grey Moonstone coins highlighted with tiny sterling silver beads.
The colours are subtle, pastel shades, dusky lavender, white and light, dove grey.
When light strikes moonstone, a phenomenon called "adularescence' can be seen, a shimmer which looks very like moonlight shining through thin clouds.
The beads are threaded onto sterling silver headpins and hung from Sterling silver ear-wires.
The ear-wires are stamped '925'.
These earrings measure approximately 1.35 inches (3cm), excluding the wires.
Your earrings will be wrapped in tissue and presented in a small organza gift bag.
Price includes delivery within the UK.
