So called "Peace Jade" is not actually Jade at all, but a mixture of white quartz, green serpentine and lavender stitchtite.
It gets its name from the belief that the stone brings tranquility and peace.
These lovely beads are subtle shades of spring and forest green with swirls of paler green that is sometimes almost white and occasional hints of pale purple.
The central coins have lovely markings on both side, and can be worn with either side showing.
Each stone is unique.
New Jade is a pale, 'celery heart' green, and again is not Jade, but a form of Serpentine.
