Formerly 'Buttons, Beads and Blanket Stitch'.
My work predominantly comprises hand cut and burnished lino prints, with sewing playing an occasional part.
Whether working in print or in stitch, I am inspired by the natural world and the people around me, with words/text frequently playing an integral part.

This bookmark depicts one of life’s perfect warm weather combos – a good book and a thirst quenching drink, a 'cooling quencher'!
My original design was sketched then transferred onto a traditional hessian backed lino. The lino was carved then printed in a warm orange oil-based ink onto a lovely 300gsm (smooth) watercolour paper.
The bookmark measures a very generous 6cm x 28cm approx., with the printed image at approx. 5.5cm x 27.5cm. Big enough to mark your page in the largest of hardbacks!
The corners of the bookmark are rounded and the reverse features a stamp of my maker’s logo.
Due to the nature of hand printing, variations in the print will naturally occur from bookmark to bookmark. This is all part of the beauty of a handcrafted piece.
Please note that the bookmark is not laminated.
