"The Standing Heron was commissioned by a client who saw us exhibiting at RHS Hampton Court Show. She wanted a piece with presence in her garden which would capture the elegance of the grey herons and heron sculptures that she had seen in her lifetime. I also designed it so it would work well situated by water and its larger than life-size height 1.7 metres (5 12 feet) makes it a standout piece to place beside or amongst plants or reeds."

How its made: Bronze metal powder is mixed with a resin to make the Bronze Resin material, which has the appearance of Foundry Bronze metal. This process creates a material that is more affordable and lightweight.
