This Flying Owl sculpture was commissioned for Beth’s Memorial Garden in Oregon. Beth loved owls, and I wanted to created a special movement and dynamism in this statue to capture people’s experiences of these beautiful birds in flight. She liked them for their heart-shaped faces, and the way their activities could be observed at night, as she stayed up very late. The post is modelled in swooping curved shape, to emphasize the natural shapes of the owls wings as it manoeuvres, creating a lovely outline from all around the owl statue. The owl will be placed in the ‘California room’ of Beth’s memorial garden.

Tanya Russell is a member of the Royal British Society of Sculptors and her sculptures are hand cast by a British foundry. Her Flying Owl statue will be accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. This casting is a perfect recreation of the original bronze statue and bears the artists signature and its own unique edition number.
Your large bronze Flying Owl sculpture will be packaged with care and include our premium, embossed Tanya Russell certificate box and cleaning kit. The perfect collectible for garden art and owl fans, your Owl statue will be shipped to you double wrapped for extra protection. We ensure that all our packaging is recycled or recyclable wherever possible and carbon-offset with tree planting.
How its made: Bronze metal powder is mixed with a resin to make the Bronze Resin material, which has the appearance of Foundry Bronze metal. This process creates a material that is more affordable and lightweight.
