Jewellery boxes are made from FSC®-certified cardboard and water-based glue. Jewellery box inserts are made from tall oil, a by-product of wood pulp industry. All paper, card, glue, inks and delivery boxes used are made from recycled materials.

I love collecting things discarded, lost, forgotten, damaged or just not wanted any more. My favourite places are rivers and beaches, but also find great things at recycling centres and charity shops. I’m lucky to live near the River Tees, Co Durham and often walk the banks picking up broken glass, pottery anything that can be cleaned and re-created into something new. Bits and bobs of lives all waiting to find new homes.

Additional terms
Hand crafted Jewellery and framed artworks using pre loved and discarded ceramics. Ceramic material will show signs of wear and damage. Entire process is a creative experience from discovery to final picture, nothing planned or preconceived. All materials personally collected from river banks, charity shops, roadside, woods, recycle centres, beaches, wherever dropped, dumped or donated ceramics are found, cleaned and shaped into new stories. Each titled piece comes with bio of where the ceramic came from, known history, original information and when the artwork was created. Some ceramics collected are used as found, while others are cut randomly which will shape the final picture. Every piece is individual, nothing replicated, however, due to repetitive patterns in ceramics there will be some similarity but only through the ceramic material not in the final piece.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.

I love collecting anything broken, lost or found by chance. There’s a small patch of ground beside the River Tees that gets boggy and drenched during heavy rains. The downpours expose all sorts of broken pot, glass, bits of pipes and wonderful oyster shells.
I found a bright piece of coloured ceramic. After a clean I gently drilled a hole, I have to choose where to put the hole depending on the condition of the shard found. In this case I realised it meant the pattern was up side down. I sanded the sides, following the original shape to create this unique pendant. Hand painted flowers design, front original glaze in tact and back has original back partial glaze also in tact. I decided to seal the entire piece with eco friendly non toxic sealant to preserve it. Slight staining and marks, the pendant created reflects the condition and age of the shard found. It is not meant to be highly polished or perfect.
Delivered in gift box with gift bag, short bio made from recycled materials.
Pendant measures 24mm x 20mm (widest) x 3mm.
Hanging on non leather 44cm plus 5cm extender black cord.
