I had already made a piece with several lines of silver and really liked it, I should know better than trying to reproduce one of these, I like the effect but it's very different to the other one.

Full description
Several lengths of silver wire of different thicknesses are fused to the surface of this copper disc, running from top to bottom. As some were thinner they have almost disappeared into a layer of silver, a faint line can be seen running down next to the still clear lengths of silver.
After cleaning the piece is polished and lightly domed. As there is so much silver on the surface it has been hard to create a smooth dome but I like it as it is.
The pendant measures about 2.5cm/1" across with one piece of silver extending below the lower edge.
After polishing it is lightly reheated to give a patina, I was worried about losing more definition in the silver, so the patina is quite subtle on this one.
The pendant hangs, by a copper jump ring, from a natural hemp cord which is adjustable for length.
It can be adjusted from choker length to mid chest.
An attractive piece it would appeal to anyone I think, not having a leather cord it is suitable for vegetarians.
