Another of the copper and silver fused pieces, I came to the conclusion that the simpler designs are the best, so this gently curved piece of silver creates the idea of a wave on the shore.
As the process is so unpredictable even if I use the same wire, the same kind of disc and the same blowtorch I can guarantee it will melt differntly.

Circular copper pendant with a piece of silver wire fused across in a wave shape, the wave extends beyond the disc slightly each side and the silver has melted onto the copper in a way that suggests surf at the edge of the wave.
After fusing the silver the disc is cleaned and polished and slightly domed. It is then re-heated gently to give a patina. This time I was very pleased to see a suggestion of water in the patterns produced. The pendant is then given a very fine coat of microcrystalline wax to preserve the patina.
Measuring approximately 25mm/1" across the pendant is hung by a copper jumpring, through a little tab at the top, onto an adjustable, brown, thin leather thong. This can be adjusted from choker length to mid chest.
A simple design but I think quite effective. These are unpredictable as the silver reacts differently every time, depends on the day. These are, therefore, unique one offs.
