Inspiration for this series of Wall pieces comes from a common thread running through my work, exploring the often fragile balance between humankind and nature.
The shapes, lines and textures that I mould, cut and form are related to the various recurring and repeating patterns found in nature, the changing seasons, Folklore and Mythology.
This particular series, 'Nature Guardian' reflects the transition from Summer to Autumn.
This Wall Art is frost proof for outdoors, but equally happy indoors in a hallway, living room or conservatory setting.

Full description
This hand made ceramic wall piece has been made by using a variety of pottery techniques, such as press moulding and hand modelling, using original casts of seed heads and imprints of real plants depending on the season.
After careful drying, the Wall Art is placed in the kiln for an initial firing before layers of oxides and stoneware glazes, further enhanced by placing coloured glass shards on the surface of the piece just before a second kiln firing to a high temperature, making it safe for outdoors.
This Nature Guardian, Ceramic Wall piece is ready to hang immediately with a clay and wire hook built into the reverse of the piece shown in the photographs.
Measuring approx 18 cm in height, approx 11.5 cm at widest point and approx 5 cm at it's deepest point.
