These landscape pieces are inspired by areas of my local coastline.
The Inner Forth has many layes of history combined with nature and industrial heritage, providing a home to many animals and birds such as migrant and wintering fowl, Shelduck, Pink Footed Geese and Waders.
This particular 'Coastline' piece, depicts a stretch of coastline in the late Summer evening close to Blackness Castle, Scotland.
The changing seasons and light qaulity, make this a stunning location at any time of the year.
This low relief landscape, is ready to hang immediately, bringing a bit of nature to your home.

This ceramic, low relief landscape, the smaller version of my larger ones, have been created by applying and layering clay textures, stamping and scratching into the wet clay, before painting liquid clay slips into areas, starting to define areas of sea and sky.
After carefull drying and a first firing, these landsccapes can be worked into various coloured ceramic stains, to create moody, atmospheric skies, grasses, water and rocky textures.
The then near completed piece is then coated with a clear glaze, then fired for a second time, deepening the colours and creating a smooth, glossy finish to touch.
This ceramic landscape comes ready to hang and measures approx 5.5 cm square with a depth of approx 1 cm, mounted onto a wooden frame made up from up cycled wood, measuring 19.5 cm square, depth of 1 cm, painted in Satin Moonlight White.
