Full description
A less chunky necklace than my usual Cellini spirals but still with the expected strong spiral shape and textured look. The colour is a gorgeous bronze with highlights of different colours: green, burgundy, gold, and purple. The colour is actually (and somewhat confusingly) called purple iris gold. Cellini Spiral is a modified tubular peyote stitch and I have made this necklace with different sizes of beads in the same colour. The necklace is hollow, making it lighter in weight, than its thickness suggests. It is finished with a gold plated trigger clasp and extension chain with tiny droplet detail to allow the length to be adjusted.
Cellini Spiral gives a beautifully even spiral with a tight twist which holds its shape extremely well. However although the rope is firm to touch it is still very flexible as it bends at the narrowest part of the spiral. Thus it still drapes nicely although not as softly as some of the other spirals.
The necklace is 44.5cms (17.5ins) long without the extension chain and 48.5cms (19.1ins) when it is fully used. It measures 1.1cms (0.4ins) across the widest part of the spiral. It will be sent wrapped in acid-free tissue paper and posted in a sturdy cardboard box for safe travel.
