The idea is to create something new from old, the finished piece isn't meant to be perfect. Instead, retain marks, stains and scratches, part of the original character of the ceramic. All Sterling Silver is either recycled or repurposed.
Jewellery boxes are made from FSC®-certified cardboard and water-based glue. Jewellery box inserts are made from tall oil, a by-product of wood pulp industry. All paper, card, glue, inks and delivery boxes used are made from recycled materials.
The idea is to create something new from old, found by chance, full of history and character. To present and deliver unique Eco Friendly gifts in Sustainable Packaging.

Additional terms
All finds personally collected from river banks, recycle shops, beaches, wherever dropped, lost or donated. Ceramics are found, cleaned and shaped into new stories. Every piece is individual, nothing replicated, however, due to repetitive patterns there will be some similarity but only through the ceramic material not in the final piece. Ceramic will show marks, scratches and imperfections, all part of its history and journey.

‘Gone Fishing’
I visited Penrith on 13th October 2021, a lovely market town in Cumbria where I found some interesting pieces of ceramic in the local charity shops. Some were rescue plates from odds and ends boxes, cracked or badly damaged and others were stand out pieces, slightly damaged and perfect for a new project.
Amongst these pieces was a large broken Churchill blue and white plate with a deep crack running across the entire plate. I like to allow things to naturally form so gently tapped the plate which then broke along the crack as expected but also broke into random shapes.
This little decoration is made from the centre part of the plate, deep rich blue. Front glazed pattern in good condition, back has been sanded and sealed With Eco Friendly sealant.
The idea is to create something new from old and use recycled materials to produce unique jewellery. The finished piece isn’t meant to be perfect but instead retain part of the original character, including marks and scratches, all part of the history of the ceramic and materials used.
Measures 55 mm x 11 mm (widest) x 3 mm
Hanging on 50cm drop recycled black ribbon.
Delivered in gift box made from FSC®-certified cardboard and water-based glue. Presented on Jewellery box insert made from tall oil, a by-product of paper production. Sustainable gifts, complete with short bio and gift bag.
