Hi there and welcome to my shop. Here you will find old embroideries, vintage fabrics and sparkling remnants made into something pretty and practical once again. I re-stock slowly but surely, so do keep coming back for a browse.
As I try to recycle where I can, your order will arrive wrapped in clean, recycled packaging from my hoard.

I love to find pretty boxes second hand, and then fill them with vintage haberdashery sewing bits and bobs. You can imagine how pleased I was to find this Orla Kiely at the car boot! I hope to inspire other people to enjoy sewing as much as I do.

Full description
I hope this little box of vintage haberdashery will spark your ideas, inspiration and creativity. Bits of ribbon, braid and lace, cotton fat quarters and patchwork squares. Fragments of vintage hand embroidered flowers, and some buttons thrown in for good measure. Perfect if you are learning to sew, teaching some sewing at home, or you would like to try out some upcycling ideas. These little embellishments will make your work that bit special, and add a sprinkling of history to whatever you decide to create. This would make a nice gift for someone who enjoys recycling, for someone learning to sew, or as a holiday project.
Inside your upcycled box you will find;
4 x fat quarters (fabric squares approx 50 cm by 50 cm)
Asst vintage patchwork squares.
A pair of Liberty fabric covered buttons, 2 sets of new buttons, and one covered in vintage embroidery .
A little bag of coloured sequins
Vintage iron on transfers
A length of cream polyester satin ribbon, navy ricrac braid and some brightly embroidered Indian braid.
Some salvaged wide cotton lace from the edge of a tablecloth and 3 vintage embroidery threads.
3 embroidered pieces of tray cloths and some embroidered patchwork squares.
All packed in a pre loved Orla Kiely box 20 cm x 27 cm x 3 cm deep.
Please note, due to small parts, please keep away from babies and small children.
I like to recycle. Your haberdashery will be posted out wrapped in clean, recycled packaging, and sent by Royal Mail 2nd class.
