The coming of Spring and Summer is the inspiration for these miniature floral pieces.
All aspects of nature, are a common thread that runs throughout my work.
The casts taken are mostly, the plants that grow in my garden, clay picks up a lot of the fine details in the flower, giving, when finished, an almost fossil like effect.
This art piece is perfect to brighten up a small space, nice on its own, or hung in a group with other miniature art works.

This Daisy ceramic plaque, has been initially press moulded from an original clay cast made from flowers that grow in my garden.
After the clay print has been dried and fired, thin layers of oxides and under glazes are applied, enhancing fine details in the Daisy, finished off with a clear earthen ware glaze, giving a smooth, shiny finish after a second firing in the kiln.
Lastly, mounted onto an up cycled wooden backing, that helps show off the completed art work, measuring approx 4 cm square, set onto the frame of 10 cm square, 1 cm thick and comes ready to hang.
Designed by Susan Wade - French in Falkirk, Scotland.
