The pendants from this series unite all the elements from nature.
Hot plate burning the geometry into the wooden blanks - fire. Wooden blanks - earth.
Smoke from the burnt wood push away through my breath - air. Water - is released through the burning of the wood as vapor.
The nature of pyrography is that sometimes depending on the nature of the wood or the heat of the pyrography pen the design can look different as the etching becomes darker or more indented in the wood. Depending on the color of the burn, the design can look different, despite the overall pattern being the same.
I guess as human beings, despite all being of the same species, depending on our life experience if we appear to be the same yet different, even if we are raised by the same parents, or attend the same experiences.
Same but different, each unique in its own way.

Full description
The 5th in the series of 9 pendants inspired from my journey to Egypt, where shapes and metaphysical ideas are combined in the past and in the present.
This wood medalion has a dual sided burnt motif, representing a box and the spiral of our time, ever evolving time and time again, linking the past to the future and back to the present moment again.
My pyrography pen allowed me to create the design, making it unique and long lasting, depending on the wight and the heat of the pen, the design is either strongly ethced or lighter.
The pendant will come hung on a faux leather string, at a length of 64cm. If a shorter string is needed please message me so the adjustment can be made prior to shipping.
