The pendants from this series unite all the elements from nature.
Hot plate burning the geometry into the wooden blanks - fire. Wooden blanks - earth.
Smoke from the burnt wood push away through my breath - air. Water - is released through the burning of the wood as vapor.
The nature of pyrography is that sometimes depending on the nature of the wood or the heat of the pyrography pen the design can look different as the etching becomes darker or more indented in the wood. Depending on the color of the burn, the design can look different, despite the overall pattern being the same.
I guess as human beings, despite all being of the same species, depending on our life experience if we appear to be the same yet different, even if we are raised by the same parents, or attend the same experiences.
Same but different, each unique in its own way.

Full description
This series of pendants were inspired by my trip to Egypt where we came together to work with the planetary network, honoring all elements in nature and exploring how humanity could grow if we were to once again reconnect with nature.
Each pendant is unique, showcasing how basic geometry come together to create the magic in the world. In nature basic geometry makes up all that we see around us. It is a combination of triangles and squares and circles or spheres. There is nothing in the world that does not use lines or points to make up the final geometry.
The pendants are 3.5m in diameter and will come with a faux leather string 64cm long, the length of the string can be adjusted prior to shipping - please send me a message if a shorter version is required.
