This pendant took 6 hours to complete and I started it when I took part in the Parallax Art fair in London.
The beauty of a wire wrapped pendant is, that you are actually purchasing a wearable art piece. Each pendant in my collection tells the story of the stone itself. The wrapping is organically created, just as a sculptor would carve out the shape from the stone, so do I wrap the wire in a way to shocase the story within.

A one of a kind bumblebee jasper pendant.
This unique pendant has at the center a beautiful 94 cts jasper stone (dimensions: 45x34x7 mm). The wire wrapping setting off the beauty of the stone is made using tarnish resistant silver plated copper wire.
When I first held the stone the motifs reminded me of one of the Gass giants of our Solar system. As I started wrapping it, the more I looked at it, the more it reminded me of the wild flower meadows, with the mountains in the background.
I tried to keep the wrapping minimalistic, so as the swirls inside the stone can shine through. Of course because the first impression I got was that it represented a gass planet, it is only natural that a few moons needed to be part of the design, hence the delicate swirls on the front.
This pendant has a unique finish, in the sense that it is acutally a dual pendant. The back of the stone has the same sirls as on the front but in a matt finish, therefore I tried to create a design on the back also, so that when the pendant inevitably spins on the wearer, it also has a side that will not detract from the beauty of the piece.
The pendant fits a day time or an evening attire, and hangs beautifully from a long chain. As with all my items the piece will come with a 60cm silver plated chain, in a jewellery box, ready to be worn or gifted.
